Arrests dropped by half at this year’s Street Vibrations event. There were eight misdemeanor arrests and one felony arrest this year compared to 18 arrests in 2015, four of which were felonies.The felony arrest this year was for a suspect being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon. There was a gross misdemeanor arrest for battery on a police officer and three driving under the influence misdemeanor arrests. The Reno City Council approved a $17,000 in-kind sponsorship this year for Street Vibrations, which covers the costs associated with public safety, traffic control and city personnel.
