Carson City now has its own no-kill shelter for lost and abandoned pets. The facility on Airport Road held it’s soft opening Tuesday. Funds to build the facility were made possible with an addition to the sales tax along with private donations, including Mattie’s fund. The foundation provides grants to no-kill shelters around the country. The shelter has space for 52 cats and 69 dogs.  A grand opening and open house is scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m.
