Five people were treated for minor injuries after being hit by a truck during a confrontation in Downtown Reno. It happened during a Columbus Day protest, organized by the American Indian Movement of Northern Nevada. Police say a group of protesters were standing in the crosswalk under the arch, blocking traffic, when the truck started edging toward them. This turned into an argument and the pickup eventually drove through the group of protesters. Reno police say the driver of the vehicle stopped several blocks away and called police. He and his passenger were interviewed and are cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
