Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve issued a statement after the vehicle versus pedestrian accident that happened Monday night, during a protest at the downtown Reno Arch. The mayor called the incident is troublesome and said it saddens us deeply. She says she take these matters very seriously, and believes they must be investigated thoroughly and promptly.She added she respects an individual or group’s right to conduct lawful protest, and encourage people to express their First Amendment rights.
