Native Americans packed the Reno City Council meeting to ask for justice, after anti Columbus Day protesters were hit by a truck under the City’s iconic arch Monday.  They expressed shock over the incident that put Kitty Colbert in the hospital with a broken pelvis as her grandchildren watched in horror.  The speakers called for peace, and patience, but say this is an important moment in the City.  They’re upset that the driver of the truck wasn’t arrested, his vehicle impounded, and they suspect he wasn’t tested for drugs or alcohol either. They point to similar incidents, and say they wonder why the police are treating this in such a different way.
