Over the next two weeks, residents can expect to see double the normal law enforcement presence around the area. Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, along with Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is “JOINING FORCES” along with other law enforcement agencies statewide, to crack down on impaired driving. They say the message is if you’ll be drinking, designate a sober driver, and if you drive impaired you will be arrested. Sheriff Ron Pierini says the goal is for every resident in Douglas County to feel secure on the road, and arrive at their destination safety.
