Sparks Police and the Washoe County District Attorney are asking for the public’s help finding a man who didn’t show up for his child sexual assault trial. Police are looking for Selvin Zecena-Valdez. He had been out on bail. Police say they started investigating in January 2015, when a case of Sex Assault of a Child Under 14 Years of Age was reported to them. The girl disclosed she had been assaulted several times by Zecena-Valdez over the course of three years. He was arrested and charged with multiple counts of Sexual Assault. Three days into a trial that started October 17th, he chose to testify on his own behalf. Then didn’t return to court on the 2st. Zecena-Valdez is Hispanic, 5’11” and 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
