A medical marijuana dispensary will not be allowed to move from Incline Village to Sparks after a decision by Washoe County commissioners. Green Thumbs Industries had met all the county’s zoning requirements when it applied for the move but commissioners voted to deny the request. The county’s decision came one week after residents at a community meeting voiced their concerns about the possible Sparks location. They cited proximity to schools, and public safety. Assistant County Manager Kevin Schiller says Green Thumbs can apply for relocation in unincorporated Washoe County.
