One of downtown Reno’s biggest eyesores, the Mustard Colored Kings Inn, is being reborn as “3rd Street Flats,” a 94 unit apartment building. Northern Nevada Business Weekly is reporting, pre-leasing for those units began last week. Mike Williams of Basin Street Properties says they’ve had over 600 signups on their website. The apartments are expected to be ready for “move in” by December 15th if not a little sooner.
The property is designed with Energy Star rated appliances and triple-pane windows. The old Kings Inn had been boarded up for 30 years, after an operation life of only 12 years.
