There’s a flame war of sorts developing between Reno City Councilwoman Jenny Brekhus, and former City Manager Andrew Clinger. Brekhus fired the first shot in a memo that became public, where she tried to persuade the author of a published report on city operations to change its contents. Brekhus suggested the document had been unduly influenced by Clinger, who still has pending sexual harassment claims against him. According to the Reno Gazette Journal, she also hinted that those charges have some validity. Clinger’s attorney responded by threatening to sue Brekhus for defamation. Brekhus returned fire calling the legal threat “unnecessarily intimidating, bullying and retaliatory.”
