The driver who hit a woman with his truck, breaking her pelvis during a protest under the Reno Arch, pleaded not guilty at an arraignment hearing in Reno Municipal Court. 18 year old Nicholas Mahaffey was charged with provoking an assault after ramming through a crowd of protesters. Two of the protesters face misdemeanor battery charges in the Columbus Day incident.
