The Chamber of Commerce, Reno-Sparks-Northern Nevada, has named Ann Silver as its new Chief Executive Officer, replacing Len Stevens, who retired after 14 years of service. Silver brings 10 years of national and regional management experience and seven years in human resources. Her official start is December 7th. Silver says she plans to revitalize The Chamber’s brand by offering relevant, educational programming for members, including courses in leadership, information technology and human resources. She plans to increase membership by reaching out to women-owned, minority-owned, and veteran-owned businesses, and by connecting niche industries through events and sponsorships.
