A house fire in Gardnerville was apparently caused by a puppy. The puppy was apparently trying to get to some food left on a counter, and jumped up on the countertop, accidently switching on the stove, which caught the kticken on fire. The blaze destroyed the home on Galena court, left three people homeless and killed the puppy.
