The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District knocked down a garage fire that broke out at a home in Sun Valley last night. Crews say the fire broke out around 9:00 p.m. at a home on Britton Lane. No injuries reported.  Meanwhile, a ceiling fan is being blamed for a fire at a home on Rising Sun Drive in the Silver Lake area. According to officials the fan fire burned into the attic Wednesday about 3:30 pm. Firefighters had to cut a hole in the roof to get the flames, which caused significant damage.
