Students and faculty at UNLV are joining UNR and some other universities around the country in supporting illegal immigration. They have delivered a petition to the university president’s office asking that school become a sanctuary campus. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that the petition taken to President Len Jessup’s office had nearly 1,000 signatures. If UNLV declared itself a sanctuary campus, it would grant protections to immigrant students who are in the country illegally while attending the school.
