Sparks Police Department is asking for help identifying a couple connected to numerous hotel room thefts and first-degree arson. December 5th and 6th, the man and woman rented a room at the Nugget. Police say the couple stole things from multiple rooms, and one guest saw them leaving a room with that guest’s belongings. When the victim confronted the couple, they ran to a room on the 12th floor. The victim called police, that’s when the thieving couple started a mattress fire, as a distraction which allowed them to run off with the stolen property. Anyone with information related to this case is asked to call the Sparks Police Detective Division.
