Highway 50 at Glenbrook has reopened to traffic. It had been closed since Wednesday, February 8th when a large boulder fell more than 50 feet and landed on the roadway. At least six boulders have fallen as a result of the saturated ground. Those in the way have been cleared, but there are still boulders precariously perched about 50 feet above the roadway. NDOT’s Meg Ragonese says they’ve implemented measures that will reduce the threat to passing drivers, allowing them to open one lane in each direction, concrete barriers.
