The Nevada Division of Tourism has come out with the latest tourism numbers for 2016, and the statistics show that more money is being spent in Nevada by tourists now than ever before.  Travel spending is up $1.4 billion dollars compared to 2015. Almost a half million Nevadans work in the industry, and tourism job growth saw a 1% increase last year.  State and local tax receipts generated by travel spending also increased by 3.9 percent, accounting for a quarter of all state and local tax revenues in Nevada.
