Illegal Cabs a Problem in Nevada

More illegal cabs and more passenger ripoffs, the administrator of the Nevada Taxicab Authority testified at the Senate Transportation Committee, that’s what we got from the new ride sharing companies like UBer and Lyft. Ronald Grogan says they’ve found drivers with no licenses, and no insurance, and in one case a ride share driver using a stolen car from California. He also says because so many new drivers and cars are on the streets, everyone is earning less than two years ago. But cab companies have some issues too, they overcharged Clark County customers $47,000,000 in 2016 with improper credit card processing fees, according to an audit.
