Some Nevada Bridges Need Work

Most bridges in the state of Nevada are described as “good to fair” condition. But there are about 31 that are in poor condition, according to Reid Kaiser, NDOT assistant operations director. He says they’re still in good shape, but need some work to make them perfect. The cost to upgrade the bridges is about 133 million dollars. The Governor clarified at the NDOT Board of Directors meeting this week, this doesn’t means bridges are going to fail, apparently they just need improvement to cope with growing traffic volumes, or an earthquake retrofit to be up to current standards.
