Two Early Morning Water Rescues in Reno

Reno Police are urging the public to obey road closures after two early morning water rescues. The first water rescue happened on North Sierra Street and Putnam Drive around 1:30 this morning. Police say when they arrived on scene, they found an occupied vehicle submerged in water just below it’s roof line. Police pulled the person in the vehicle to safety. Just 20 minutes later, Reno Police responded to another call of a motorist who was stuck in water on North Virginia Street and 15th Street. Police also pulled that motorist to safety.
