Douglas County is closing a sixth-tenth mile stretch of Tillman Lane in Minden for two to four months until the road can be rebuilt. The closed part goes from Kimmerling Lane to Patricia Way. Douglas County is reviewing ways to improve the design before they rebuild the road. The county needs to improve drainage for storm water. Road Superintendent Chris Oakden says they understand this is an inconvenience but they have to address the drainage issue, or flooding will cause deterioration again. Jacks Valley Road has a temporary speed limit of 30 mph and is scheduled to be fully reconstructed late spring or early summer between Genoa Lane and the Upper James Canyon Loop.
