A former South Lake Tahoe Fire captain gets ten years in prison for transporting child pornography. Mark Wygant, 46, pleaded guilty as part of an agreement for a shorter sentence. Wygant left his job in February 2015,  after FBI agents and local police arrested him, accusing him of secretly filming a 12- or 13-year-old girl with a hidden spy camera on his iPhone in 2011 and 2012. The US Attorney’s Office in California says court documents indicate Wygant had bought the cell phone and “spy cameras” specifically for taking pictures of the girl. He then took the videos and photos from Butte County to South Lake Tahoe.
