The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a flood advisory through Tuesday for areas along the East and West Walkers rivers. Water is being released from the  Bridgeport Reservoir and Topaz Lake starting today, resulting in heavy flows on the rivers. Minor flooding is likely to occur along East Walker Road downstream of the Strosnider Ditch by Tomorrow (Monday) morning, and partial closures of East Walker Road are possible. Minor flooding is also likely below Yerington where Miller Lane crosses the river as early as Tuesday. Flooding is also expected in rural parts of south central Lyon County.
