If Republicans are really interested in working with Democrats on improving the Affordable Care Act, Nevada Congresswoman Jacky Rosen says she is open to it. Rosen says we can all agree that costs need to be lowered, and that we can do more improve quality and stabilize market forces. She says she’s willing to come to the table to have an open and transparent conversation on how to improve the current law. She suggests this won’t be fixed by backroom deals and closed door meetings, and says the GOP plan that failed would have been disastrous for millions of seniors, veterans and the disabled. She’s already crossed the aisle on the issue, signing onto legislation that repeals the medical device tax and the “Cadillac tax”, which taxes strong plans offered by employers.
