Gov. Brian Sandoval signed three bills from the Nevada Legislature into law Thursday. SB 92 permanently establishes the Alzheimer’s Task Force in the Department of Health and Human Services. It develops and implements a state plan on dealing with Alzheimer’s disease. Both the Senate and the Assembly passed it unanimously. AB 9 authorizes a Deputy of Securities position within the Secretary of State’s Office. The division regulates the security industry and seeks both criminal and civil penalties for violations. It also licenses businesses that sell securities. Assembly Bill 13 changes references to the “state business registration” for which businesses pay a licensing fee, to “state business license.”
