An awful lot of money is being spent on a campaign to discredit and recall the Storey County Sheriff, virtually all of it is coming from the people behind the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center. In a report on the recall campaign filed with the Secretary of State, more than 142 thousand dollars in “In kind” contributions were reported, by recall backers, all from three sources — the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center, Kris Thompson or Lance Gilman, the principal at TRI, who also operates a brothel and serves of the Storey County Commission. There was a single 20 dollar in kind contribution to the recall, apparently not connected to TRI. At the same time, recall backers claim sheriff Gerald Antinoro is violating campaign laws, by not clearly identifying who is paying for signs and ads opposing the recall, and by failing to file a Contribution and Expense report with the Secretary of State. The Recall election is April 11th.
