The Reno Gazette Journal is reporting, two law enforcement associations are fighting the release of a video that shows a struggle between deputies and an inmate that led to the inmates death. The RGJ says the two employee associations have asked a local judge for a restraining order against Sheriff Chuck Allen, who wants to release it. A hearing has been scheduled for April 12th. The paper has launched a series about a spike in jail deaths over the past year. The video involves the death of 35 year old Justin Thomspon, a domestic violence suspect. The associations say releasing the video would invade the privacy of deputies.
