SR-207 Kingsbury Grade Reopens

After being closed for a little more than 24 hours, Kingsbury Grade has reopened to traffic with no restrictions.  The road was closed Friday afternoon as NDOT and contractor Q&D Construction removed loose trees and earth from a roadside slope to help reduce rock and mud fall onto the highway.  Rockfall mitigation experts used air compressors and other tools to loosen boulders and send them down to the road so they could be safely removed while the road was closed.  NDOT says they will monitor the slopes and might need to close the road again if the weather creates additional hazards.
