Bishop Gorman Football Coach Suspended After Arrest

Bishop Gorman has attracted a lot of attention by having the number one ranked high school football team in the nation for the last two years. But the attention they’re getting now, isn’t the kind they want.  Kenny Sanchez, Gorman’s head football coach for the last two years, has been suspended after being arrested on domestic battery charges. He was arrested on Tuesday for an incident last Christmas, when he allegedly hit his former girlfriend around the face, grabbed her neck and pulled her hair. Sanchez failed to show for a February court date and an arrest warrant was issued. His attorney said there’s no truth to the accusations. Gorman President John Kilduff wrote to parents and students to say that the school is taking the matter very seriously but cannot comment on personnel matters. Sanchez has coached at Gorman since 2009.
