The Nevada Highway Patrol has released the name of the man killed in a crash near the Mount Rose Highway .That driver has been identified as 63-year-old Filipe Segura of Carson City. Trooper Dan Gordon says preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a white 2007 International Truck , towing a utility trailer was headed south on I-580. The trailer became unhitched, causing the trailer to move uncontrolled across several southbound travel lanes. High wind and the downhill grade of the road then moved it in the northbound lanes, where it was hit by an Oldsmobile Alero, driven by Segura. Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Karen Garretson of the Multi-disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team is investigating this crash.
