The FBI working with local authorities launched a search warrant operation at apartment complexes in northwest Reno and Sun Valley. The FBI Safe Streets Task Force operation took place this morning  at the Aviana at Tuscany complex on Mae Anne Avenue and at the Sierra Point complex on El Rancho Drive. The FBI told KOLO 8, “There is no threat or pending threat to public safety.” Reno Police and Washoe County Sheriff SWAT teams helped in the operation. The bureau says it won’t comment further, as this is an ongoing investigation, but plans to provide more information later in the week. Sparks Police have made several arrests as part of the joint investigation, and if you need some clues as to what this may be about, the Drug Enforcement Agency was also involved in the raids. The suspects so far are 25 year old Joelvon Calbert of Sparks, 23 year old Lafontae Ford of  Stockton, 28 year old, Tremel Battle, 23 year old Teyjon Calbert and 22 year old Altanea Green, all are charged with Obstructing a Police Officer, but the investigation is continuing.
