A Carson City woman was arrested Sunday for ripping off a the Walmart on Market Street for a number of items, and then returning them to the same store’s customer service department for cash. 28-year-old Lindsay Ann Hammers was caught around 2pm that day, after she was seen by security taking a pair of boots, some pants, and other clothing from store shelves, and then walking right into the customer service section, where Hammers received over $100 for the stuff she didn’t buy. Hammers now faces a felony charge.
