Spanish Springs High is The Home of One of The Best Rifle Teams in The Country

The Spanish Springs High School Junior ROTC Rifle Team, is one of the highest-ranked teams in the entire country. During a recent competition in Anniston, Alabama, the team placed third out of 1,700 Army Jr ROTC schools, and tenth among all military service JROTC rifle teams in the country. Spanish Springs High School Principal Tammy Hart says it’s truly a wonderful accomplishment, and a testament to their dedication in preparing for this day and this level of competition.  The team consists of Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Joshua Rodriguez, Cadet Captain David Powers, Cadet First Lieutenant Russel Hills, Cadet First Lieutenant Steven Henderson, and Cadet Major Sierra Larason. Cadet First Sergeant Staecia Wright qualified as an individual competitor.
