Nevada Ranks Very Low For Children’s Health

It’s “Every Kid Healthy Week,” But Nevada starts it with some pretty poor grades on children’s health care. Analysts from “Wallet Hub” say Nevada is last in the nation on a number of key metrics that measure child health. They rank the state 50th for the percentage of children who report Excellent or Very Good Health. 51st for uninsured children. 51st for children with Unaffordable Medical Bills, 40th for child obesity, and 51st for child dental health. The state also ranks 44th for pediatricians and Family Doctors per capita, and 51st for Preventive care visits in the past year. See more here
