“Honor Flight Nevada” and the “Osher Lifelong Learning Institute,” of the University of Nevada, and other veterans groups are hosting an evening to honor Holocaust Survivors, and their liberators Tuesday night. “Honor flights,” Jon Yuspa calls it a rare opportunity to hear true stories from survivors and the World War two heroes, involved in liberation missions at Nazi concentration camps. It includes 13 panels of artwork. Yuspa said on KOH’s Dan Mason Show, this educational program is also being offered to local schools. The event includes opening remarks from Gov. Brian Sandoval. It’s at the Atlantis 6:30 to 9:30 pm, Tuesday.
