More than $24,000 was raised to support the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation by local law enforcement, firefighters and citizens who participated in the 5th Annual Guns and Hoses Golf Tournament at  LakeRidge. This brings the total for the five years since the tournament was founded to just under $90,000 for the Foundation. Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation’s Director of Community Outreach Lisa Shaffer says they could not do what we do without community partnership events like Gun and Hoses, and the relationships we built with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District.
