Heller Says Nevada Knows Best When it Comes To Protecting Sage Grouse

Senator Dean Heller joined with Kentucky’s Rand Paul to reintroduced the Endangered Species Management Self-Determination Act. They say it will restore power to states to manage endangered and threatened species found only within their borders. The bill also requires congressional approval before a species could be listed as endangered or threatened and, provides enhanced protection for individual private property rights. Heller says Nevadans – not Washington bureaucrats – know how to best protect the sage grouse, and the Endangered Species Management Self-Determination Act affirms that.
