With a long list of projects to complete, N-Dot is actively recruiting to fill 64 engineering positions. Apparently finding qualified engineers is a challenge. NDOT is partnering with the University of Nevada, and UNLV to target engineering students and provides internships in areas like construction, surveying, materials testing, roadway and structural design, hydraulics, environmental, planning, traffic, maintenance and operations and research. It also participates in career fairs and is active in industry trade groups such as the Associated General Contractors and the American Society of Civil Engineers to train and find qualified candidates.
