Gov. Brian Sandoval joined Education Secretary Betsy DeVos as President Trump signed an executive order to reduce the federal government’s role in K-12 education.  Sandoval traveled to Washington at the White House’s invitation. He’s long been a supporter of local control, and against federal mandates that are unfunded or tie the hands of local educators and administrators. The Governor also continues to press the democratic controlled legislature in Carson City, to fund his “Education Savings Account” school voucher program.
