The Washoe County School District is discussing a new high school that would tentatively be located near the corner of Sullivan and McCarran, on the Wildcreek Golf Course site. It would replace Hug High.  The new school is being called Wildcreek High, for now. That name will likely change once the school is built. Most Sun Valley students will move from Spanish Springs High to Wildcreek, although where the dividing line starts and ends is still up in the air. The school will take up some of the course property, reducing the holes from the 27 they have now. Groundbreaking for the new high school is scheduled for December 2018.
