(KOH) – The Nye County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the possible poisoning of five dogs in Pahrump.  Two dogs have died and three others are in critical condition.  Deputies discovered that the dogs ate poisoned meat which had been placed on their properties.  Samples have been sent to a lab to identify the poison used, and toxicology reports are expected in about a week.  Detectives investigated similar incidents in 2015 and identified a possible suspect, but had insufficient evidence for an arrest.
