(KOH) – A bases loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth inning to sophomore Kaleb Foster scored junior Cole Krzmarzick and Nevada (16-31, 10-14 MW) defeated intrastate rival UNLV (18-33, 8-17 MW) 4-3 in the first of three Mountain West and Governor’s Series games at Peccole Park this weekend. The fans showed up to see the Wolf Pack win as 1,044 were in attendance as the new Battle Born uniforms were worn for the first time. It was the third largest crowd of the season and third in a row over 1,000. With the victory the Wolf Pack improved to 16-31 and 10-14 in MW play while the Rebels fell to 18-33 and 8-17 in the conference. Game two of the series is set for 6 p.m. on Saturday. Domestic beers are just $2 for game two and the first 250 fans will receive a rally towel as part of the weekend of promotions.
