The Nevada Department of Wildlife is now requiring anyone transporting a watercraft on a public highway in Nevada, to open their drain plugs, and drain valves. The idea is reducing the spread of invasive aquatic species in local waterways. Besides the pesky Quagga Mussels, water can contain plant fragments, seeds and other organisms that can harm fisheries and wildlife, and drinking water. N-Dow is encouraging boaters to clean and dry their equipment before re-use.
