The City of Reno is inviting the public to its annual plant sale Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its greenhouse, located at 190 Telegraph Road in Reno. People will have the opportunity to buy locally grown, pesticide-free plants, such as tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, lettuce and petunias. City of Reno Horticulturist Pamela Mecham-Bedard says it’s a great opportunity to add to your garden this spring. Proceeds from the plant sale go towards purchasing the items needed to grow more plants for the next year, roses for the City’s Rose Garden and tools for volunteers to work in the parks. Sales will be by cash or check only.
