Low-interest federal disaster loans are now available to certain private nonprofit organizations in Churchill and Storey counties following the amendment to the Presidents major disaster declaration for Public Assistance, as a result of severe winter storms, flooding and mudslides that occurred between Feb. 5th and 22nd. SBA disaster assistance is available in Churchill, Douglas (including the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California within the state of Nevada), Elko, Humboldt, Storey and Washoe; and Carson City. SBA may lend private nonprofits up to $2 million to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory and other business assets.
