Great Basin Brewing Co., headquartered in Sparks, has been recognized with two awards at the 2017 Los Angeles International Beer Competition. Nevada’s oldest brewery took home a Silver Medal in the Sweet Stout or Cream Stout category with its Outlaw Milk Stout and an Honorable Mention in the English-Style India Pale Ale category with its Ichthyosaur “Icky” IPA, named after Nevada’s state fossil.  Great Basin Brewing Co. is the only Nevada brewery to be recognized this year.
