There’s a lot of talk about republican members of congress being vulnerable at the next mid term. Some poll numbers even look bad for Mark Amodei in CD-2, but he remains popular with many of his constituents.  The strategy for democrats is to try to portray republican members of congress as lackeys doing the bidding of a controversial president. But that may be a hard case to make against Amodei, who joined the call for a Special Counsel to investigate Russian interference, called for Trump to release his taxes, and refused to support the first version of ACHA.  RGJ Political Reporter Seth Richardson also thinks 18 months from now, we could all be focused on a new set of issues.
