A mobile home is a total loss after a fire in Silver Springs Thursday morning. Central Lyon County Fire Protection District reports a man arrived home about 9AM opened his door and saw smoke. He closed the door and called 911. Fire crews put out the flames, which gutted the inside of the home, leaving the walls standing. No cause has been determined. No one was hurt. The home is near the intersection of Tonopah and Virginia Streets, south of US 50.
