A record number of graduates received their diplomas at Western Nevada College’s commencement ceremony Monday. 551 students received degrees and certificates at the Marv Teixeira Pavilion in Carson City, and of those, 89 of the 2017 graduates are high school students who participated in WNC’s Jump Start College. Not only did they get their high school diplomas, but they also move on with an associate degree.
